2009 FUN WORLDWIDE ASPEN/SNOWMASS CELEBRITY DOWNHILL WEEKEND

Aspen Youth Experience's 2009 Fun Worldwide Aspen/Snowmass Celebrity Downhill™ weekend benefit once again took over Aspen and Snowmass on February 27-28.  With Fun Worldwide as the Title Sponsor, along with three Presenting Sponsors, Related WestPac & Snowmass Viceroy, Mary Kay Inc/Nancy C. Rogers & Richard R. Rogers and Camper & Nicholsons, and many other generous sponsors and patrons, the event was a highlight of the winter season.  Judge Joe Brown was the special spokesperson for the weekend, raising awareness for Aspen Youth Experience and our youth needs and successes.

The weekend began with an amazing Premiere Party, presented by Related Westpac & Snowmass Viceroy, at Scott DeGraff's new venues in Snowmass Base Village, Junk & Liquid Sky. That evening, performing for the first time in Aspen/Snowmass for the crowd of more than 250 VIPs, celebrity guests and sponsors, was DJ Skribble and Dave Navarro. The following morning, the Celebrity Downhill race on Aspen Mountain, presented by Camper & Nicholsons, USA, was a great success with an elaborate Fun Worldwide-catered VIP food and entertainment tent that was rocking until three in the afternoon. Great sunny weather ensured a perfect day of ski and snowboard racing. Chad Lowe was the fastest celebrity racer, joining the 'Chix on Stix' team.  Alan Helene's AM/PM team claimed the winning spot, followed in a close second by Deborah Brown's team.  Nancy Rogers AVSC team finished third.

The weekend festivities culminated on Saturday evening at the Aspen Meadow's Doerr-Hosier Center for the Sno Ball.  The extraordinary evening was presented by Mary Kay Inc/Nancy C. & Richard R. Rogers, with entertainment by Cisco Adler, Shwayze and DJ Skeet Skeet. The silver-shimmering themed event, using unique lighting and other special effects, offered an elegant setting for a night of bidding, dining, dancing and giving to Aspen Youth Experience.

Our friends, donors and generous sponsors helped to make the weekend a special benefit for our youth.  We thank our other corporate sponsors such as GenSpring Family Offices, Aspen Meadows Resort, Aspen/Snowmass Ski Company, Marmot, Hotel Jerome, NBC Universal, AMPM, Jay's Valet, Ventours, Plum TV, Aspen Peak Magazine, Paul Mitchell, Fiji Water, Patrón Tequila, Six Senses Destination Spa, genConnect, Bijou, Peak Party Rentals, Aspen Moving and Storage, Aspen Brewing Company, Bogner, Dior, KUUR Radio, Otten Johnson, WIN Health Institute and Face to Face Training, as well as all of our generous auction donors.
